September 9th:  Travelled south as far as Port Washington.  Filled up with fuel 186 gallons.   Left late  because we did a walk about town until the Maritime Museum opened at 09:00.   Toured the WW II sub   USS Cobia. Interesting tour.

Heading south to Port Washington. 3 foot swell from the NE with a 1 – 2 ft choppy wave from the SE.   Interesting ride. 48 NM

September 10th:  Another long day of the water, did about 75 NM – entered our 3rd State Illinois. Hugging the shore line  for most of the day as there was a strong SW wind about 20 kts.; 1 -3 ft waves and occasional showers. Are docked in Waukegan, just north of Chicago.  Apparently the Captain did very little driving today so was able to update his log.  I’m hoping he took some pictures the last couple of days and will send them.  May need to stay here for a day or two, because of  a small craft warnings and potential wave heights of 10 feet.
